Pax-Bank also contributes to the reconstruction of Haiti

Cologne: Pax-Bank commemorates the victims of the terrible earthquake in Haiti.

Our deepest sympathy is extended to the victims and their families.

These were the words Pax-Bank addressed to the Chairman of the Episcopal Conference of Haiti, Mons. Louis Kébreau SDB, Archbishop of Cap-Haïtien.

As sign of solidarity and of hope, the board of Directors of Pax-Bank eG has decided to donate money toward the reconstruction of Haiti.
The funds are primarily destined for the reconstruction of the school centre of the Salesians in Port-au-Prince, which collapsed during the earthquake.
The buildings, a vocational school, a primary school, a centre for street children and a kindergarten collapsed, causing the deaths of up to 500 children.

The head of the Mission Procure of the Salesians in Bonn, Germany, Brother Jean-Paul Muller, thanked Pax-Bank for its generous commitment.

Pax-Bank and its employees wish that the Catholic Church in Haiti, the people entrusted to it, and all the people of Haiti may find consolation and comfort as well as hope and God's continuous blessings to help them overcome this tragedy.
